REACTIVE EXTRUSION

Reactive extrusion is the industrial process by which polymeric materials are blended starting from their corresponding monomers.

Our extruders, which in this application play the role of a real reactor, are currently specialised mainly for two polymer families:

- Synthesis of POM (Polyoxymethylene) by polymerization from the formaldehyde monomer

- Synthesis of TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane) through the reaction / polymerization between the monomers di-isocyanate and polyol
